After listening to a Toastmaster speak in University, I knew I wanted to become a Toastmasters. To be able to speak and hold an audience captive is something I aspire to accomplish!
Toastmasters has allowed me to become a better speaker & listener at work and at home. It has improved my ad-hoc speaking and I am a much better negotiator. Writing and presenting 10 speeches really taught me to figure out what was important to say and realize I didn't have to say everything in 3-5 mins.
My favorite speech I presented was "Almost 30"

As a person who has always been involved with the community and often speaking at different functions, I wanted to become a better speaker.
My goal is to feel more comfortable speaking before an audience. Toastmasters has not only helped me with my "butterflies" , but it has made me look at different speaking techniques and topics.
I have also met a lot of people and made new friends.
I enjoyed giving the two speeches about Hong Kong Veterans, however I believe my favorite speech I presented was "Pet Peeves"
