Cheryl's Secret Life

Last meeting, Cheryl Tynksi, who is working on her Advanced Communicator Silver (ACS) presented her humourous speech called "My Secret Life"

This was by far the funniest speech we've ever seen! It was way outside Cheryl's comfort zone and she did fabulous!

In her speech she was a stunt double in the movie Flashdance and was a rapper writing a song!!! .... hence the cap and hoodie!

Even the photo is a bit blurry because I was laughing while taking the photo.

Good job Cheryl!

April 28th Meeting Update

The April 28th Morrisburg Toastmasters meeting was a fun-filled night.

Brenda was the Seargent -at -Arms. (see below)
There were 2 speakers - Lyle Van Allen and Cheryl Tynksi.

Lyle completed his project #2 in the Competent Communicator Manual. His speech made the audience aware of how easy it is to volunteer or help out the Children's Treatment Centre.

Cheryl's interactive speech on "Should we allow a Dog Park in one of Morrisburg's Parks" was from the Advanced Communicator manual. I must say - everyone had an opinion on this topic! Below is a photo of Cheryl presenting!

Next meeting May 12th, 2010 - Theme TBD.
